Services / ADA compliance and web accessibility
Over a billion people live with a disability. A website they can’t use is a customer you never hear from, and increasingly a legal risk. We bring your site in line with WCAG and keep it that way.
Typical investment
From $160/month
Includes monitoring and monthly reporting, up to 5000 website visits/month. Pricing is per website. Month to month, no contract.
Plus a one-time $150 setup fee.
You run an e-commerce site or have a physical location, which puts you at higher risk of an accessibility claim.
You’ve had a complaint, a demand letter, or a customer tell you they couldn’t use your site.
You want to reach every customer, and you’ve realised your site may be quietly turning some away.
These two terms get used interchangeably, and they are not the same thing. Knowing the difference is the first step to knowing where you stand.
The Americans with Disabilities Act is federal law prohibiting discrimination against people with disabilities in employment, transport and places of public accommodation. US courts have repeatedly applied it to websites, particularly for businesses with a physical location or an online store.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, published by the W3C, define what an accessible website looks like in practice. The ADA does not name WCAG, but courts, regulators and settlements use it as the benchmark. WCAG 2.1 level AA is what we build and test to.
The UK, Canada, Australia and the European Union all require accessible websites under their own laws. If you serve customers abroad, or plan to, the same work covers you in each of those markets.
Compliance is the reason most people call us. It is rarely the biggest return.
Accessibility demand letters routinely cost businesses thousands to settle before any lawyer is involved. E-commerce sites and businesses with a physical location are targeted most often.
Most people who hit an access barrier do not ask for help: they leave and buy elsewhere. Those visits never show up in your analytics as a problem.
The IRS Section 44 credit covers 50% of eligible accessibility spending in a tax year for qualifying small businesses, which can offset much of the cost.
Alt text, captions, transcripts, clean heading structure and readable contrast are accessibility requirements and ranking signals. Screen readers and search crawlers read a page much the same way.
People with disabilities represent a substantial share of online spending, and most of your competitors have not made their sites usable for them.
It takes one review to shape how people see your business. A site that works for everyone signals a business that takes its customers seriously.
Alongside the fixes we make in your site’s code, we install an accessibility interface that lets each visitor adapt your site to how they browse. It installs in days rather than months, runs daily, and keeps working as you add pages.
To be clear about what a tool can and cannot do: it handles the adjustable layer and daily scanning. The structural problems, contrast, headings, form labels and keyboard navigation, we fix in the site itself. Tools alone have been named in lawsuits precisely because they leave those in place.
Flat monthly pricing, month to month, no contract.
One-time $150 setup fee for each plan. If you purchase the plan as part of the Reach maintenance plan, the setup fee is waived.

Everything in Essential, Plus:
No jargon, no surprises. You will always know what happens next and what it costs.
1
We test your site against WCAG 2.1 AA and show you exactly what fails, in plain English rather than a wall of error codes.
2
Not every issue carries the same risk. We separate the fixes that matter legally and practically from the ones that are nice to have, and quote the work.
3
We correct the code and content: contrast, headings, alt text, forms, keyboard navigation, and anything a screen reader trips over.
4
New pages break compliance. Monthly checks catch problems as they appear, and you get a short report each time.

If you serve the public in the US, very likely. Courts have repeatedly treated websites as places of public accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and e-commerce sites and businesses with a physical location are the most frequently targeted. Several other countries, including the UK, Canada and Australia, require WCAG compliance outright. We are not lawyers, so for a definitive answer on your situation speak to one.
The ADA is the federal law prohibiting discrimination against people with disabilities. WCAG is the technical standard, published by the W3C, that defines what an accessible website actually looks like. The ADA does not name WCAG, but courts and regulators use it as the benchmark, so WCAG 2.1 AA is what we work to.
The IRS Section 44 credit covers 50% of eligible accessibility expenses in a tax year, up to $5,000, for small businesses that qualify. It can offset a significant part of the work. Check eligibility with your accountant, and we will provide whatever documentation they need.
No. An overlay tool helps, and we include one, but it cannot fix underlying code. Contrast, heading structure, form labels and keyboard navigation have to be corrected in the site itself. Widget-only solutions have been named in lawsuits precisely because they leave the real problems in place.
They overlap more than most people expect. Alt text, captions, transcripts, clean heading structure, sitemaps and readable contrast are all accessibility requirements and ranking factors. Screen readers and search engine crawlers read a page in much the same way, so fixing one usually improves the other.
An audit takes about a week. Remediation depends on the size of the site and what the audit finds: a small brochure site is usually days, a large e-commerce store can take several weeks. You get the timeline with the quote.
Usually a letter from a law firm stating that a person with a disability could not use your website, citing the ADA and asking for a settlement. Amounts commonly run into several thousand dollars before legal fees, and they often arrive with a short deadline. Many are sent in volume to businesses that share the same obvious failures, which is why fixing those failures is the cheapest insurance available.
The most common failures we find are: images with no alt text, colour contrast too low to read, headings used for styling rather than structure, form fields with no labels, buttons and menus that cannot be reached with a keyboard, video with no captions, and PDFs that screen readers cannot open. The audit tells you which of these apply to you and how serious each one is.
Barely. Most fixes are invisible: code structure, labels, alt text. Where contrast is too low we may need to adjust a colour, and we will show you options before changing anything. The accessibility interface itself sits behind a small icon and is styled to match your branding.
New content is where compliance quietly slips. That is what the monthly monitoring is for: new pages and posts are scanned, problems are flagged, and small fixes are handled as part of the plan. You get a short report each month showing what changed.
Klashtech is headquartered in Miami, Florida, with clients in Fort Myers and Southwest Florida, Austin, Texas, and across the United States. Accessibility work happens remotely, so location is never a constraint. We work in English and French.
