The situation
Brave Healer already had a well-established website, but it had developed a security problem. For a publisher whose site carries its reputation, its book catalogue and its author sign-ups, that is not something to leave to chance.
The site did not need rebuilding. It needed a safe home, someone watching it, and a steady way to keep growing the traffic that brings new authors in.
What we built
- Resolved the security issue and hardened the site against it happening again
- Moved the site to faster, more secure hosting
- Onboarded Brave Healer onto a monthly maintenance plan: updates tested before they go live, daily off-site backups, uptime monitoring and malware scanning
- Ongoing SEO through regular blog posts, written to bring in the healers and practitioners looking to publish
Where it stands
Brave Healer is now hosted and maintained by us month to month, with security handled in the background and new content going out on a regular schedule. The site keeps doing its job, and Laura no longer has to think about the technology behind it.

Taking over an existing website that has a problem, fixing it without starting over, and then keeping it healthy. Not every site needs a redesign; many just need someone looking after them.
