Finishing what someone else left half-built

Systems Success Pro had already paid an offshore team to build their platform. It was not finished, and the parts that mattered most were not connected to anything.

The situation

Systems Success Pro sells an AI engine for small businesses, installed one automation at a time. Their customers needed a platform to log into, and they had hired an offshore development team to build it. That team never finished the job.

What existed was a file manager that mostly worked, bolted to nothing. Subscriptions were not connected to the back end, user permissions had no read-only option, and there was no documentation of any kind. Each time they asked the original team for something, it was invented on the spot.

They came to us with a working front end, a broken business model underneath it, and no map of either.

What we built

The stack: Angular on the front end, Node.js on the server, MongoDB for data, Amazon S3 for file storage, with GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control and deployment.

Alongside the app we took over their WordPress site: improved the design, hardened the security, moved them to better hosting, and put them on a maintenance plan.

Where it stands

Built in 2024, the platform now serves 100 users on paid subscriptions. We still host and maintain both the application and the website.

What this is an example of

Custom development for a business that already has software and knows it is not right. Picking up someone else’s unfinished code is unglamorous work, and we would rather do it than watch a client pay twice.
